Walk with Us to Cure Lupus is the Lupus Research Alliance’s signature national fundraising program devoted to finding a cure for lupus.
What began with the first Walk in Washington, DC in 2002 has grown over the past 20+ years to unite tens of thousands from across the country who have raised over $45 million for lupus research. 100% of all the money raised goes directly to support lupus research programs because the LRA Board of Directors funds all administrative and fundraising costs.
Please visit our home page for an up-to-date schedule.
You have a variety of options if you are not able to walk in person:
ManyOne Can Engage is our community engagement program, which we are expanding this year to include all the many ways to advance lupus research.
ManyOne Can is rooted in the belief that we are stronger together and finding the cure for lupus is going to take all of us. No one can do it alone, but ManyOne Can!
Your journey with us doesn’t have to stop when the Walk ends. There are so many ways you can make a difference. People with lupus and those who support them can get involved in the clinical trial process, from participating in a focus group to reviewing educational materials. You can also volunteer to advocate on Capitol Hill and amplify awareness via social media. We’re excited to see how ManyOne Can will expand our community, amplify the voices of people with lupus and volunteers, and help us continue fundraising to support more research.
Go to the “Register” button on the Walk page. You’ll see three options that you can choose from – register as an individual, join a team or create a team. Follow the prompts and complete the form. You will be guided through the registration process. Once your registration is complete, you will receive an order confirmation e-mail receipt which will let you create your password. Your username is always your email address.
If you encounter any problems during your registration process, please contact us at Email us at walks@lupusresearch.org or call Joanne Golombos at 732-610-2267.
There is no fee to register. All participants are encouraged to raise a minimum of $25.
